A follow up question to Edward's: is there a limit or guidance on how much of the project funding can be spent in the U.S. vs in Serbia? If we do an exchange of faculty and students, costs will be much higher here in the U.S. Is that a problem?

About project descriptions: Yes, it would be great to see at least short descriptions or project narratives (a la NEH examples). They would tell us about viable scope and levels of specificity that make sense.

Can we have an English language component to this proposal particularly if the primary focus of the proposal is not English. If we do would that hurt our chances?

Also, there is no democracy listed in the themes, even if this is clearly emphasized in the call, so if there is cooperation between two centers that have focus on democratic innovations and exchange of knowledge, that would be acceptable or not?

Did I hear you correctly: multiple applications (various funding opportunities) are allowed? In other words, one could apply for an ELL grand and for this duding?
