Diplomacy Delivered: Race in America and the #StopAsianHate Movement
Join us for a virtual discussion on how race relations in the United States are changing in the wake of the #StopAsianHate movement, the growing activism to counter systemic racism in societies worldwide, and what the Biden administration means for the ongoing civil rights movement.

This edition of our Diplomacy Delivered virtual discussion series will feature Korean-American and Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Memphis, Dr. SunAh M Laybourn, in conversation with youth and racial justice advocate, Obama fellow, and public policy professional, Alan Wu.

We’ll explore topics including: how the #StopAsianHate movement is impacting race relations in the United States and its impact globally; ongoing efforts to address diversity, equity, and inclusion within the United States and other countries, and how our societies can better root out racism and inequality going forward.

The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A session, and audience questions are most welcome – please submit them in advance to AskEmbassyCanberra@state.gov, or in the Q&A window during the session.
